
As part of the ongoing change exhibition, a Tamworth Regional Heritage Festival combined exhibition celebrating the 46th Annual Australian Heritage Festival, join Museum Co-Ordinator Kate Hofman on Sunday the 28th of June, as she delves into local collections and shares local stories, objects and images of interest in our local narrative. Uncover interesting local objects and stories as you learn how to access local museums, collections, and online databases.
You will learn how to access and utilise resources including:
Whilst discovering interesting stories of local legends including William Burrell, Captain Thunderbolt and Wrestler Jumping Jack Claybourne, iconic locations such as Kootingal Zoo and Paradise Garden, as well as local hauntings and DIY competitions.
Come with an idea or be inspired by the change exhibition, as you research into local legends and tales.
Completed research will be utilised in an Animation Workshop with regional artist Daniel Elliot, aiding in the creation of paper cinema, and may also be included and uploaded to local Museum archives and databases.

Cost: Free to attend, please bring a laptop or device for research purposes (internet will be provided).
