TAMS-AC is working with the Primary Health Network (PHN) to help design future Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) services for Aboriginal people, families and community.
We want community voices to guide this work from the beginning, so we’re inviting mob to come together, share ideas and help shape support that is culturally safe, respectful and useful.
This yarn is for Aboriginal people with lived or living experience of mental health concerns, stress, grief, trauma, family pressures, alcohol and other drug concerns, or supporting someone they care about.
You do not need to share your personal story. We simply want to hear what works well, what gets in the way, and what services need to better understand about supporting community.
We might yarn about:
– What helps people feel safe enough to ask for support
– What makes it hard to get help
– What has worked well before
– What has not worked well
– What GPs, SEWB workers and Aboriginal Health Practitioners need to understand
– How family, culture and community should be included
– Creating a model of care for complex mental health support
There are no right or wrong answers. Taking part is your choice and you decide what you want to share. You can choose not to answer a question, take a break, or leave at any time.
Data sovereignty is important to TAMS-AC. Any data collected will always remain the property of the participant, and you have the right to withdraw your data at anytime. We will deliver the data back to the participants in a presentation.
Taking part, or choosing not to take part, will not affect your care at TAMS-AC.
