The Tamworth Hotel
The Tamworth Hotel on Marius Street is a mainstay in the Tamworth pub scene. Beat the heat in their beautiful back beer garden, with vines growing overhead, a bar, a small stage. It’s a great spot for an afternoon session, especially when they have some live music on. Plus there’s a playground for the kids!
The Peel Inn Hotel (Nundle)
Located in the heart of the village, The Peel Inn Hotel is hugely popular with locals and travellers visiting the picturesque area of Nundle and Hanging Rock. The lush green gardens and vine-covered beer garden are a fantastic place to grab a quick bite, or settle in for the afternoon.
The Bendemeer Hotel (Bendemeer)
Bendemeer might be famous for being the hometown of Australian Cricketer Josh Hazlewood, but the Bendemeer Hotel is equally deserving of recognition. Nestled on the MacDonald River about 30 minutes drive from Tamworth, this pub is perfect for a stop off, day trip or overnight stay.
The Longyard Hotel
Located right near the Big Golden Guitar, the Longyard Hotel is one of the most popular pubs in the region on a Sunday afternoon and for good reason. With a huge back room and outdoor area including a playground for the kids, it is the perfect place for a good pub feed with the family.
The Tudor Hotel
Although not technically a beer garden, the Rooftop Bar at The Tudor Hotel is a great spot to spend an evening any night of the week. It has one of the best views over the Tamworth CBD, where you can watch the sun go down as you enjoy a drink with friends.
Joe Maguires Pub
Joe Maguires is family-friendly allrounder has a great beer garden out the back with a playground for the kids, regular live music and trivia to enjoy. Affectionately known locally as “Joes”, this pub really comes to life toward the end of the work week and on weekends.
