This September, Lifeline New England North West invites you to take part in the Out of the Shadows Walk 2025—a powerful community event held in recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day.
Every day in Australia, we lose 9 lives to suicide. To honour them, we walk 9 kilometres—one for each life lost. While World Suicide Prevention Day is officially on September 10, you’re encouraged to walk anytime, anywhere that works for you OR join our community walk in Tamworth – 6th September.

We will be walking 9 laps of the oval together, for the 9 lives tragically lost to suicide each year in Australia. Participants are welcome to continue on afterwards if they wish to complete a longer distance.After the walk, we invite you to stay and enjoy a free BBQ provided by the Peel Valley Lions Club, share stories, and connect with fellow walkers.
