Festival of Small Halls – April 2026 Tour
The Festival of Small Halls returns for its 49th edition, bringing world‑class folk and contemporary roots music to 13 regional towns across Victoria and New South Wales. Presented by Woodfordia Inc, this much‑loved touring series transforms historic country halls into intimate concert spaces filled with exceptional music and rich community spirit.
This April, Canadian folk/blues powerhouse Joe H Henry joins acclaimed Australian artist Tullara on a journey from Bullarto to Deepwater. Henry’s voice- “as powerful as a freight train”- carries stories shaped by a life of grit, heart, and resilience, blending rhythm and blues, soul, alt‑country, and folk depth. His performances forge a true connection with audiences of all ages.
Fresh from recording her debut album Rebound in Vancouver, guitar‑slinger and genre‑breaker Tullara unveils a bold new sound that fuses pop/rock energy with her signature lyrical honesty. Featuring her electrifying electric‑banjo single I Don’t Believe in Giving Up, Tullara’s 2026 shows promise a thrilling, contemporary edge.
Each community along the tour hosts its own special night-often including local meals, cakes, or BBQs-making every show a unique celebration of music, stories, and regional pride.
A big‑hearted tour in small, iconic halls. Come for the music, stay for the magic.
“I’m absolutely stoked to be heading out on tour with the Festival of Small Halls!” says Tullara.
“It is so incredibly exciting to have the opportunity to tour through regional and rural VIC and NSW and to play in these beautiful town halls – which are often the authentic gems
and community pride of each town. I can’t wait to share my music with new people and communities and to swap stories with all the locals in every town along the way! It feels like a moment that I have waited my whole life for – while never knowing it was possible – is about to take place.” says Joe H Henry.
