Meet author Christine Sykes who’s first novel ‘The Changing Room’ was launched on her 70th birthday. Since then, she has published two more books, a memoir ‘Gough and Me’, and a novel ‘The Tap Cats of the Sunshine Coast’. Christine had numerous poems and short stories included in Anthologies and won several book awards. ‘The Tap Cats of the Sunshine Coast’ novel was performed on stage earlier this year.
Her active lifestyle includes walking, swimming and tap dancing. She recently walked part of the Camino.
She will reflect on how becoming an author has changed her life, providing experiences never have dreamed of.
The author event starts with refreshments at 5.30pm, followed by Christine’s talk at 6pm, ending with audience questions and the opportunity to buy Christine’s signed books.
