This month the Tamworth Historical Society welcomes Craig Smith as our guest speaker. Craig’s presentation will be on a comparison between the treatment of Australians as Prisoners of War between the Boer and Korean Wars. This will include interviews with soldiers and images from his second book ‘Aussie Soldier: Prisoners of War’.
Craig is currently serving in the Army Reserve as the unit historian at Randwick Barracks after a 12 year posting with the Australia Army History Unit in Canberra. He is the Teacher-Librarian at Oxley High School.
Everyone is welcome to attend Craig’s presentation at 7:30pm Wednesday 15th October at Calala Cottage Museum, located at 142 Denison Street, West Tamworth. This is free to attend and will be followed by a light supper.
