Discover Australian genealogical resources and starting points for beginning your own family history research. \nCate Clark is a researcher\, historian\, storyteller\, writer and\, in a previous life\, a librarian. \nTo date she has written several local family history books as well as two local military history publications. She has also contributed to two books\, Gunnedah’s Great War and Centenary of Anzac 1914-1918. Her titles of local relevance can be found in the CNRL collection. \nShe is passionate about delivering her knowledge to new searchers and hopes everyone will gain something by her lecture. \nThe lecture will be held in the Local Studies area at Tamworth City Library on Wednesday 6 August at 10:30am. We are pleased to feature our 2024 Scholarship recipients\, vocalist Abigail Simpson\, Megan Carr on flute\, Fraser Simpson on piano\, and Isabella Hoskins on violin. Kate Frazer will perform on the piano as the Junior Scholarship winner\, alongside singer Isabelle Hargraves as the Rural Scholarship winner. \nThis concert is an opportunity for the Conservatorium to present its major awards and acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments our students have achieved throughout the year. \nAudiences will also be treated to performances from Poco a Poco Strings\, the Tamworth Con Community Orchestra\, Conservatorium choirs\, and students in their final year of the Early Childhood Music program. \nThis is a free event – friends\, family\, and members of the public are welcome to attend.
