SUMMARY:WONDERBOX
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Joblink Plus \n\nCURIOSITY! CHOICE! WONDER!  – WHAT’S INSIDE THE WONDERBOX?\nSensorium Theatre – Australia’s leading theatre company making work specifically designed for young audiences with disability and their friends – invites children to roll the dice and set out along a safe\, exhilarating pathway into the unknown. \nInside a giant puzzle-box of illusions\, kooky-carnival friends with magic in their pockets lead audiences into an immersive multi-sensory wonderland of fantastical large-scale projections\, strange tiny delights\, and infectious live music. EVERY child’s curiosity is celebrated and rewarded with wondrous surprises. As boxes reveal boxes within boxes each child is given the opportunity to find a magical version of themselves. Inside the Wonderbox\, micro moments of whole worlds in a matchbox lead into macro universes where EVERYONE\, their face reflected in the stars of the Milky Way\, is invited to be wonderful! \nDue to the format of the show\, only participating young people are required to purchase a ticket.\nEach young person may bring 1 carer free of charge. \n“I am so extremely grateful that my child had this opportunity. I have already highly recommended to others.  It was a very special experience I will remember for a long time.” \nShow Warning & Booking Information\nWonderbox is a multi-sensory immersive theatre performance created with and for children and young people with disability\, and their family and friends. All performances of Wonderbox are relaxed performances\, with audiences invited to sit or move around freely within the performance space and adjacent chill-out zone\, which features comfortable seating and minimal sound. The performers use multi-modal communication including key signs\, natural gesture\, visual symbols and minimal verbal language. The show is highly visual with a rich aural environment and many opportunities for individual engagement and interaction through the senses. Wonderbox is an inclusive show and Sensorium will adapt the work to the audience\, as such we have included a short questionnaire on each ticket so each child’s specific requirements can be met. \nAdditional Information\nEnhance your child’s experience by using Wonderbox’s online preparatory materials available here.  These resources familiarise children with the story characters\, songs and storytelling methods\, resulting in a more enjoyable show experience. \nAge Recommendation\nInclusive performances for children with disabilities and their families (recommended for 8yrs+) \nAudience Size\nLimited to 15 children (and their carers) \nWonderbox has received significant public and private support including the Australian Government through Creative Australia\, its arts funding and advisory body; the WA Government through the Department of Local Government\, Sport and Cultural Industries; Cassandra Gantner Foundation\, Wind Over Water Foundation\, the Australian Culture Fund\, Spinifex Trust\, JEM Foundation and Arts Impact. The world-premiere of the work was commissioned and presented by Perth Festival. Wonderbox is produced by Performing Lines WA.

SUMMARY:TREASURE ISLAND
DESCRIPTION:By Bryony Lavery \nNot one of us must breathe a word of what we’ve found. \nIt’s a dark and stormy night. Jim\, the inn-keeper’s granddaughter\, opens the door to a terrifying stranger. At the old sailor’s feet sits a huge sea-chest\, full of secrets. Jim invites him in – and her dangerous voyage begins. \nBased on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic story of murder\, money and mutiny\, Tamworth Dramatic Society invites you to join Jim Hawkins and the crew of the Hispaniola on one of the greatest adventures of all time\, Treasure Island! \nWhen the old Pirate\, Billy Bones\, and the treasure map he has stolen from his old shipmates\, arrive at the quiet Benbow Inn\, Jim Hawkins\, Squire Trelawney and Dr Livsey are set on an incredible journey into the unknown. Along the way\, Jim and her companions will have to face overwhelming odds\, and she’ll have to use all the cunning she can muster to find the treasure\, save her friends… and make it home again! \nIn this thrilling adaptation by Bryony Lavery\, which keeps alive the wit and excitement of the book\, Jim becomes a girl rebelling against gender roles in her amazing coming of age journey. A tribute to the wit\, honour and resourcefulness of children. Treasure Island is an adventure not to be missed! \n….And one more thing! Keep a weather eye for a seafaring man with one leg! \nAn amateur production by arrangement with ORiGiN™ Theatrical\, on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
